A suspect has been apprehended in an attempted shooting earlier this week in the parking lot of Delilah’s gentlemen’s club.

Philadelphia police said Friday morning that a man was in custody in connection with the Monday evening incident.

Further details about the suspect, including his name, weren’t immediately available.

A woman was shot at as she was trying to enter her truck in the parking lot about 6 p.m. Monday. The gunfire struck the vehicle twice but the woman was not harmed. Authorities were investigating whether the gunman was targeting the woman.

Investigators had also been probing whether the shooter had been firing from a fifth-floor window of an apartment building under construction across the street from the club.

Information on suspect’s motive or where he was shooting from also wasn’t immediately available.

Police have said there was no indication that anything happened inside Delilah’s that led to the shooting.

A massive police response to the incident prompted a flood of officers to the area the temporary closure of several ramps from Interstate 95.

The club on the 100 block of Spring Garden Street reopened for business the day after the shooting.
