Meatpacking plants have become hotspots for COVID-19 across the nation. It’s essential work. And in Pennsylvania’s Lebanon County, many plant workers are Latino. They’re vulnerable to the virus and their communities have some of highest rates of infection in the country.

An Inquirer visual journalist spent four weeks filming this short documentary, chronicling how poultry plant workers in Lebanon and Berks counties fought to stay healthy as the coronavirus spread through their workplace and communities.
