Investigators are looking for suspects in the deaths of a man and a teenager who were killed in separate shootings over the weekend.

The first of the deadly shootings happened Saturday afternoon, when 27-year-old Basil Ahmad Nahsh Adams was shot on the 900 block of East Sanger Street in the Summerdale section of Northeast Philadelphia.

Adams, who lived in the area, had been shot several times and was found in a rear alley, police said. He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he died at 1:18 p.m.

No arrests have been made. Police said an argument was believed to have sparked the shooting but no information about any suspects was available Monday.

Then, on Sunday evening, 17-year-old Tyshiem Chainey was shot several times in his chest on the 5900 block of Larchwood Street in West Philadelphia.

Chainey, who lived a few blocks away, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:44 p.m., police said.

Authorities said the motive for the killing wasn’t known. No arrests have been made and police had no descriptions of any suspects.
