BERWICK, Pa. (AP) – Police say they plan to file charges against a suspect who allegedly shot at officers with a rifle and then set on fire a house where emergency responders encountered booby traps.
Berwick Police Chief Ken Strish told the Bloomsburg Press Enterprise (http://bit.ly/2sVLADn) the man was arrested Friday after trying to escape from a second-story rear window.
The paper says it took firefighters about an hour to put out the fire.
Authorities were summoned to the home in response to a call about someone making threats.
