Cameron Rupp and Knapp are the only remaining catchers in camp.
The Phils also optioned outfielder Roman Quinn and reassigned right-hander Michael Mariot to Minor League camp.

Mackanin on Knapp’s improvement and potential
Phillies manager Pete Mackanin discusses Andrew Knapp’s improvement behind the plate and his potential as a hitter
Assuming the Phillies do not acquire a catcher between now and Opening Day, three of their five bench jobs are set with infielder Andres Blanco, outfielder Aaron Altherr and Knapp. Outfielder Chris Coghlan is expected to make the Opening Day roster as a fifth outfielder. The Phils must officially place Coghlan on the roster by Tuesday.
Infielder Jesmuel Valentin and non-roster invitees Daniel Nava, Brock Stassi and Pedro Florimon are the remaining candidates for the fifth and final bench job. Nava or Stassi seem most likely to get it.
The Phillies want Quinn to play every day, which would not happen in the big leagues with Howie Kendrick, Odubel Herrera and Michael Saunders set in the outfield.
