The Blue Jays selected the 28-year-old off waivers from the Mets on April 10, but he did not appear in a big league game for Toronto and was designated for assignment on Friday.

Kelly hit .328 with two home runs and 35 RBIs in 81 games for Triple-A Las Vegas last season and batted .321 in six games for Team Israel in the World Baseball Classic.
