Philly’s Acori Honzo is sculpting figurines of famous Black folks to acknowledge Black excellence

When Acori Honzo couldn’t find a Black figurine for his collection, he started making them. In his studio at Cherry Street Pier, Honzo sculpts Harriet Tubman, James Baldwin, Nas and other Black folks to contribute to the culture.
