Philly shootings leave 3 dead Tuesday

Philadelphia police are investigating three fatal shootings that occurred in different parts of the city Tuesday.



Shortly before 1:30 p.m., a 33-year-old man was shot once in his chest in an apartment on the 4700 block of North 12th Street in the city’s Logan section, police said. He was taken by private vehicle to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:41 p.m.

On Tuesday morning, police found a 32-year-old man shot several times inside a burgundy Buick on the 2900 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue in the city’s Brewerytown neighborhood. Police rushed him to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:49 a.m.





Earlier, shortly before 4:30 a.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in the head on the 200 block of East Indiana Avenue in Kensington. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:32 a.m.

The victims’ names in these three homicides have not been released, and no arrests have been reported.

These slayings followed two fatal shootings that occurred Monday, one in Frankford, the other in West Philadelphia.
