Philly officially recognizes Indigenous Peoples Day

Oct. 11 marked the fifth Annual Indigenous Peoples Day Philly celebration at Penn Treaty Park. Though the event is in its fifth year, this is the first year that Philadelphia has officially recognized Indigenous Peoples Day. Mayor Kenney signed an executive order in January replacing Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples Day.
