“It went well, felt good, [it was] better than the last one,” Nola said on Monday, according to Philly.com. “The ball was coming out of my hand better. It felt good. We’ll see how it is when I stop moving and cool down.”

Nola, who is 2-0 this season, should be moving closer to returning to the rotation barring another setback. The Phillies are expected to have a more clear-cut plan for his rehab on Tuesday, when they continue a four-game series against the Cubs.

Jeff Arnold is a contributor to MLB.com based in Chicago and covered the Phillies on Monday. This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.
