Norristown shooting leaves teen dead, another wounded

A 16-year-old Norristown boy was killed and another teen wounded in a shooting Thursday in the Montgomery County seat, officials said Friday.

Police were called to the 600 block of Chain Street about 6:32 p.m. for a reported shooting. They found Jordan Scott, of the 500 block of High Street, along with a 17-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds, officials said.

Scott was taken to Mercy Suburban Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 17-year-old victim was taked to Paoli Hospital for treatment, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
