Motorcyclist doing wheelies dies after crashing into truck in Philly

A motorcyclist died Saturday afternoon when, while doing wheelies, he crashed into the back of a truck at 17th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Center City, police said.

The accident occurred around 3 p.m. The 27-year-old man, whose name was not released, was taken by medics to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:31 p.m.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
