Montgomery County police are continuing their search for a missing 45-year-old Uber driver and say the key to finding her is locating her car.

Krysten Laib, of Abington, was last seen about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday when she dropped off Uber customers on Axe Factory Road in Northeast Philadelphia. She was driving an olive green 2003 Subaru Legacy with a Pennsylvania license plate of HJA-8582.

“We don’t know why she went missing,” said Abington Chief John A. Livingood. They do not suspect foul play and believe Laib disappeared on her own, he said.

Laib had picked up customers who were bringing someone home from Jefferson Hospital. They have been interviewed by police. Her mother had texted with her within minutes after of that drop-off, he said.

“That was the last contact,” he said.

The department is also working with Uber and expecting more information on Monday, he said.

“The biggest thing is be on the lookout for that car,” said Livingood. “The car is the key to where she is.”

Laib is white with blue eyes and blond hair. She is 5′ 4″ tall and weighs 135 pounds. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call the Abington police at 267-536-1100 and press 3.
