Man hit and killed on Roosevelt Boulevard

A 69-year-old man died after he was hit by a car Sunday afternoon while crossing Roosevelt Boulevard in Olney, police said.


The man was not in a crosswalk when he attempted to cross the Boulevard at F Street around 1:22 p.m. and was struck by a southbound vehicle, according to police.

A police spokesman said he did not know whether the striking driver stayed on scene following the crash.





The pedestrian was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:56 p.m., police said.
