Man blames squirrel for car crash

Two weeks ago it was a spider, now it’s a squirrel that is allegedly to blame for a car crash.


On Saturday, an unidentified 24-year-old driver in Wormleysburg Borough, Cumberland County, told police a squirrel ran out in front of his Mustang and as he tried to avoid hitting the animal, he lost control and crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle, PennLive reported.





Witnesses told police the man was driving at high speed. He was later given a citation from police, PennLive reported. 

On April 7, a Lancaster man told police he thought he saw a spider in his lap and was so startled he lost control of his car and hit a utility pole.

A quick check of Twitter finds drivers have had a number of close calls with squirrels. 




Some of the little furry rodents were not so lucky.
