An unexpected item was left sitting on U.S. 1 in central New Jersey Thursday afternoon: a 37-foot long boat.
The vessel, named Maraliya out of Larchmont New York, was left on the shoulder of the busy highway near Beekman Road in South Brunswick.
Police have been trying to find the owner of the boat and took to Twitter to solve the mystery.
The South Brunswick PD tweeted a picture and video of the boat asking ‘Do you know the owner?’

Anyone with information about who owns Maraliya and how she came to rest on Route 1 should call police at 732-329-4646.
