A knife-wielding duo robbed an Abington Township Qdoba Mexican Grill on Old York Road in Jenkintown, police said.

The incident happened on July 1 shortly after closing.

Three restaurant employees were approached by two suspects asking for money.

The male, who is described as a 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 10 black male, entered the Qdoba wearing all black and a distinct “Freddy Krueger” style bladed glove on his right hand. He is seen on video pointing the blades of the glove at the unsuspecting employees during the attempted robbery.

His partner was a black female, 5 foot 2 to 5 foot 4, also clothed in black from head to toe. She was armed with a kitchen knife with a 12-inch blade, according to police.

Before the officers arrived arrived, the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the restaurant.

Police are hoping that the distinct weapon used in the robbery will help them track down the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Abington Township Police Department at 267-536-1100.
