Jaye surrendered just four hits, including three singles, and walked two in the outing, which also saw the 25-year-old righty generate six ground-ball outs and throw a season-high 96 pitches, 61 for strikes.

He owns a 4.30 ERA through 37 2/3 innings after the scoreless performance, Jaye’s third of the season and second in his last three starts for Erie, though he’s still in search of his first win, with an 0-4 record through eight starts.

No. 7 overall prospect Ozzie Albies boosted his average to .274 with his second four-hit game of the season for Triple-A Gwinnett. The Braves’ No. 1 prospect went 4-for-5 out of the leadoff spot, also tallying his 11th double and 14th stolen base in the contest. Albies is hitting .357 in his last 10 games.

• No. 12 overall prospect Brendan Rodgers’ (Rockies’ No. 1) two-run shot in the first inning proved to be the difference as Class A Advanced Lancaster defeated San Jose, 5-4. It was the fourth homer of the season for the 20-year-old shortstop, who’s hit .352 with 17 extra-base hits and 23 RBIs in 26 games.

• No. 59 overall prospect Jesse Winker (Reds’ No. 3) recorded four hits for the second time this season, going 4-for-5 with four runs scored and two RBIs in Triple-A Louisville’s win over Pawtucket. He connected on his second homer, a two-run shot in the first inning, and later added a double. He’s hitting .307/.378/.400 on the season.

• No. 90 overall prospect Matt Chapman (A’s No. 4) stayed red hot as he belted his third homer in as many games to pace Triple-A Nashville in a shutout over Omaha. The 24-year-old third baseman later added a triple to finish 2-for-5 at the plate. All 10 of Chapman’s home runs have come within the 22 games he’s played this month, including six in his last nine. Joey Wendle (No. 18), meanwhile, fell a home run short of hitting for the cycle in a 4-for-5 performance for the Sounds.

D-backs No. 1 prospect Anthony Banda bounced back from his worst start of the season with one of his better performances to lead Triple-A Reno in a win over Iowa. The 23-year-old southpaw allowed one earned run on three hits, with two walks and eight strikeouts, in six innings — his fourth straight start completing at least six frames.

Cardinals No. 15 prospect Randy Arozarena recorded two doubles and two RBIs in his second straight four-hit game (4-for-5) for Class A Advanced Palm Beach. Fueled by a 10-for-14 showing at the plate over his last three games, the 22-year-old outfielder has hit .320 with 16 extra-base hits since beginning his U.S. career in a 4-for-39 funk.

Phillies No. 9 prospect Dylan Cozens hit a two-run homer to support Nick Pivetta‘s (No. 12) strong effort on the mound as Triple-A Lehigh Valley defeated Indianapolis, 3-1. The home run was Cozens’ 12th of the season as well as his seventh in his last 11 games. Pivetta, meanwhile, tossed seven innings of one-run ball, allowing seven hits and striking out nine, in his first start since being optioned to Triple-A.

• Reds No. 13 prospect Shed Long and Gavin LaValley (No. 26) both homered as they combined for seven hits in Class A Advanced Daytona’s win against Charlotte. Long, 21, went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, his sixth, out of the two-hole to lift his season average to .323 through 42 games in the hitter-friendly Florida State League. LaValley connected on his 10th homer, giving him a share of second place in the circuit, as he paced the Tortugas’ offense with four hits (4-for-5).

Yankees No. 21 prospect Zack Littell set a season high with eight strikeouts and completed seven innings for a second straight start to lead Class A Advanced Tampa past Jupiter, 3-1. The 21-year-old righty threw 68 of his 94 pitches for strikes, allowing one earned run on six hits and one walk. Overall, he’s 5-1 (nine appearances/seven starts) with a 2.14 ERA in 46 1/3 innings.
