A handyman from Bucks County accused of raping children over a decades-long span is now facing additional charges involving a sixth victim.
William Charles Thomas, 58, of Morrisville, was arrested last month. Authorities said he sexually assaulted five children, collected their clothing as trophies and scrawled graphic details of the crimes on plywood that he used in renovating trailer homes.
The Bucks County District Attorneys Office said Monday that Thomas was now facing more charges related to a sixth victim. Thomas, already charged with dozens of crimes, faces additional counts of incest, rape, aggravated indecent assault, child sex abuse, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and other offenses, according to court documents.
The victim told investigators that, when she was a child in the 1990s, Thomas showed her pornography, exposed himself to her and watched her as she showered and dressed. Then, when she was a teenager, the two smoked marijuana together – including one instance in which the victim became incapacitated – and Thomas would caress her.
Investigators searching Thomas’ belongings found drawings and writings in which he “explicitly described sexually assaulting” the girl during her childhood, court documents said.
Thomas had been slated to appear in court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing, but has waived that hearing, officials said.
The investigation into the handyman began in November, when Falls Township police received a report of explicit writings found on plywood at the Midway Village Trailer Park, where Thomas was a resident and did some renovations.
The graphic details written on the plywood led to a search of Thomas’ trailer, where police found child pornography and writings documenting his alleged assaults on children, dating back to the 1970s. In an interview with investigators, court documents said, Thomas admitted to sexual acts involving minors that included relatives and children he baby-sat.
