3 killed in early morning blaze in North Philadelphia

Three people are dead following an early morning fire in North Philadelphia, according to fire officials.


The fire started around 4:30 a.m. on the 1700 block of North 6th street, and spread to two neighboring row homes.

Officals told 6 ABC that a 52-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy were found dead inside the homes. A 9-year-old boy was reportedly taken to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he died from his injuries.





There is no word yet on what caused the fire. Fire commissioner Adam Thiel is expected to hold a press conference shortly. 

Last Sunday, three people were killed in an early morning fire in a home in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia.
