John Dougherty and City Councilman Bobby Henon indicted in federal IBEW Local 98 investigation

U.S. Attorney’s Office announces a 116-count federal indictment accusing Local 98 business manager John Dougherty, Philadelphia City Councilman Robert Henon, and several Local 98 employees of embezzlement, wire fraud, and public corruption charges.

From April 2010 to August 2016, the indictment alleges that Dougherty and others conspired to embezzle some $600,000 worth of Local 98 funds for their own personal use and the use of their family members, friends and commercial businesses.
